Debbie Furr’s journey at Salem began in the fall of 1988. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she stepped out after her first semester and didn’t return to the College until the spring of 2009. As an adult student at Salem, Debbie flourished, serving as the leadership council president and winning prestigious awards and honors along the way. She finished her Salem degree in December 2013. Earlier this year, Debbie earned a master’s degree in counseling and social work at UNC-Chapel Hill. She has also resumed a successful career in real estate as a broker for Mitchell Prime Properties.
