In 1772, Salem Academy and College was founded on the revolutionary idea that girls and women deserve a rigorous education to prepare them to lead the way for a better world.   In 2022, Salem Academy and College celebrated its 250th anniversary.  Salem has built upon this foundation and pushed boundaries for women, empowering them to be leaders and to effect change.  During this 250th celebration, Salem celebrated the past and embraced the new transformative vision and strategic plan for Salem’s future now focused on STEAM at the Academy and health leadership at the College.
