How do I apply to Salem?

You can apply via the Salem application here or via the Common App. We also participate in CFNC and Crosby Scholars!

What do I need to include in my application materials?

Applications to Salem College are considered complete when accompanied by any required transcripts of your previous academic work. Some programs at Salem College may require additional materials, your admissions counselor will have further details. We accept ACT and SAT scores and are test optional.

When is the deadline for applications?

For fall admission, Salem begins reviewing applications in early November. Merit scholarships are offered to eligible students in your acceptance letter and additional merit scholarships may be offered thereafter. Salem respects the May 1st deadline for acceptance of offers and accepts applicants from wait lists or late applications until classes begin for the term.

What do I need to do for need-based financial aid?

You’ll want to be sure to complete your FAFSA when it becomes available, usually on October 1. The ideal time to complete your FAFSA is October 1-February 1 although you can still complete your FAFSA after February 1. We do recommend completing your FAFSA as soon as possible. You will need to have a parent sign the FAFSA and you’ll also want to add Salem College to your FAFSA using our school code, 002960, to make sure that we receive your information.
