Jenna Sheffield serves as the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Salem College, and teaches professional and technical writing courses for the English department. Her research focuses on the intersections of multimodal composing, writing program administration, and the affective dimensions of scholarly tenure and promotion processes. In her teaching, she brings her past experience as an editor-in-chief, technical writer, and marketing coordinator into the classroom, encouraging students to apply rhetorical concepts they learn in the classroom to real case studies. Dr. Sheffield is also committed to engaging students in project-based service learning work; her students have partnered with many non-profits to help them advance their mission through the creation of websites, brochures, social media campaigns, and more.
