The Ghost Ryders’ mission is to strengthen and sustain Salem sisterhood through the power of step. By coming together as sisters, creating something new, and thanking God for our strength, we promote the pillars of Salem, its history, and its cultural diversity. As sisters we STEP with a united purpose to expose creativity and expression through performance quality and empowerment of ourselves as individuals and growth as women.
The Gospel Choir is a student-directed choral group which performs various kinds of music for civic groups, volunteer organizations in the Winston-Salem area, campus events, and two annual concerts. Vocalists are selected after fall auditions at which musical ability, vocal blend, stage presence, and commitment are emphasized.
The Pierrette Players is the Salem College drama group. The club seeks to develop an appreciation for drama while also teaching the essentials of acting and production techniques. Two major productions are given each year.
The Salem Art Society is a student organization dedicated to supporting student imagination and creativity, as well as promoting student artists. This is achieved through student art shows and educational opportunities within the arts. The club’s aim is to be exceptionally inclusive by attempting to schedule meetings and events to be convenient for Fleer and non-residential students.
ASID offers students the opportunity to become more prepared in the field of interior design through professional interaction and insightful programs. Students have the opportunity to learn from dynamic speakers at our monthly meetings, to go on field trips, to receive updates on current trends, to work on our bi-annual newsletter, and to participate in our fundraisers.
Salem Chorale is a vocal group whose purpose is to foster and stimulate interest in the vocal arts. Programs include entertainment for special events on campus such as the Christmas Candle Service and for Winston-Salem civic organizations and conventions.

The purpose of this club is to connect students to one another and to members of the greater Winston-Salem community through contra dance and to sponsor events made possible by the hard work and generous efforts of people coming together.
The Salem College Dance Company seeks to develop an appreciation of all dance forms, specifically contemporary modern dance. Students develop skills, creative abilities, and plan, choreograph, and present concerts on and off campus . Students have the opportunity to attend the American College Dance Conference in March of each year. New members are selected through auditions each semester.
