Salem Academy and College to Host Christmas Candlelight Service

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (NOV. 14, 2023)—Salem Academy and College will host its annual Christmas Candlelight Service on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 4:15 p.m.  The service, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Salem’s campus in the Elberson Fine Arts Center’s Hanes Auditorium.  The Elberson Fine Arts Center is located at 412 Rams Drive off East Salem Avenue in Winston-Salem.

The Christmas Candlelight Service will feature Salem Academy and College students, faculty, and staff, who will deliver inspiring words for the season, along with student readers who will share the Christmas story. The Salem College Choirs will provide seasonal singing and music, and the Christmas Candlelight Service will end with the lighting of Moravian candles.

“Salem looks forward to hosting the Christmas Candlelight Service each holiday season.  It’s a cherished and longstanding tradition for our community and is part of the fabric of Salem’s campus life,” Salem Academy and College President Summer J. McGee, Ph.D. said.  “The Christmas Candlelight Service is a moving experience, great to attend with family and friends to get everyone in the true holiday spirit.”

No registration is required to attend the Christmas Candlelight Service.  Free parking is available adjacent to the Elberson Fine Arts Center.
