Salem Through My Eyes
Salem holds a special place in my heart. As a student — class of ’98 — I observed professors who were equally as passionate about their students as they were their content. I wanted to be that teacher! Their examples have guided my work in education for 26 years. As an instructor, I hope I am carrying on their legacies to grow future generations of teachers.
Fun Facts
- I am an introvert.
- I love to doodle and have a mild obsession with sticky notes.
- While I’m not generally daring or adventurous, I slipped into Jim Valvano’s funeral while on duty as a senate page in Raleigh. Uninvited, of course.
