Health-Related and Health Leadership Experience and Expertise
My dissertation research centered on refugee mental health, and my broader interests focuses on addressing the social determinants of health among vulnerable communities to advance health equity. I hold an MPH with a concentration in nutrition, a BS in Nutrition Sciences, and the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) credential. I have also taught courses such as Personal Health and Mental Health & Well-Being, reflecting my commitment to preparing students to think critically about health and equity in diverse contexts.
Salem Through My Eyes
I chose Salem because I believe women in health leadership have the power to create meaningful change. From my very first visit, I felt an immediate connection with the students, faculty, and the campus community, and I knew I had found the right place. Salem truly feels like home, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this community while also being deeply enriched by it.
