Salem College to Present “An Evening of New Music”

Faculty and friends from the Salem College School of Music will present “An Evening of New Music” on Saturday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Wade Mattox came to Salem College in 2012 after earning his PhD in Mathematics from Virginia Tech. His research interests are in Abstract Algebra, with Group Theory and related aspects of von Neumann algebras being one emphasis. At Salem College, Dr. Mattox has enjoyed directing student projects related to a variety of topics, including Cryptography and Computer Science. Dr. Mattox is the faculty adviser to the Salem College chapter of the Association of Women in Mathematics, and he is proud to have helped launch both the minor in Actuarial Studies and the minor in Computer and Data Applications.
