Frequently Asked Questions

How is my opportunity shared with students?

Once you submit your information via our online form, your request will be added to a centralized spreadsheet of available opportunities. This list is distributed to students who request it and is promoted through e-newsletters, social media, and communications from schools and departments.

Will my opportunity be seen by a wide range of students?

Yes. We actively promote the opportunity list across multiple campus channels to ensure it reaches a broad and diverse group of students.

Can students miss class to work at High Point Market?

Some students may be granted class exemptions to participate in High Point Market, but this is not guaranteed. Exemptions are at the discretion of individual faculty members or departments.

Should I expect students to work during their regular class hours?

Please keep in mind that students typically have full-time academic schedules. We strongly encourage flexibility in scheduling and recommend seeking multiple candidates to ensure coverage of all needed shifts.

How long will my opportunity be promoted?

Your opportunity will remain in circulation until you notify us that you’ve completed your recruitment. To stop future promotions, email us at rosa.otero@salem.edu or lee.svelte@salem.edu

What if students contact me after I’ve already filled the position?

Even after your listing is removed from active promotions, students may still access previously shared documents. We do our best to keep these documents updated, but we encourage you to let any inquiring students know if the role has already been filled.
