A Remarkable Class
Meet The Class of 1965

Salem College Class of 1965 Sets a New Giving Record
We are thrilled to announce the remarkable achievement of the Salem College Class of 1965, who raised and presented an extraordinary gift of $3 million to the College during their recent Reunion Weekend. This generous contribution reflects the enduring commitment of the Class of 1965 to Salem College, a place that profoundly shaped their lives.
Since graduation, members of the Class of 1965 have remained dedicated to Salem, where they were encouraged to dream big and push boundaries. Their passion for the College is evident through their involvement in various boards and committees, as well as their efforts to recruit prospective students from their hometowns, ensuring others could experience the same transformative education they did.

The Class of 1965 has supported Salem College through gifts to scholarships, capital projects, and unrestricted donations, and this year, in honor of their 60th Reunion, they made an especially generous contribution. This gift includes cash donations, stock gifts, IRA distributions, and planned gifts, ensuring ongoing support for the College’s future.
The impact of this donation was evident during Reunion Weekend, as class members returned to campus, reconnecting and proudly recalling Salem as their “home.”
In recognition of their exceptional generosity, Salem College has named the Student Center Plaza in their honor. The plaza will now be known as “The Spirit of 1965 Plaza,” a lasting tribute to their leadership, service, and philanthropy.
Class of 1965, you are truly remarkable!
