Tell us about your experience being a drum major in the Wake Forest University Marching Band.
Coming into Salem, I was given the opportunity to dual enroll in courses at Wake Forest University, which provided a pathway into their marching band, Spirit of the Old Gold and Black. I am extremely grateful for being a part of such an awesome group of individuals. Within this season, I have been appointed as one of the drum majors and the experience has been surreal. From the excitement of game days to performing at local events, it really takes the element of school pride from Salem and Wake Forest to a whole new level. I’m so glad to be a part of this and that is extended to Salem students who can partake in being within another family.
