Reunion Weekend 2021 FAQ
Why will Reunion be virtual and not in-person this year?
Reunion Weekend is a large-scale celebration for Salem alumnae. After considering the uncertainty of COVID-19, the emergency restrictions of the State of North Carolina, and input from our Salem community and partners, we made the decision to go virtual and not be in-person. We are currently working to finalize what a virtual reunion will look like for Salem Academy and College alumnae and email updates will be sent soon.
What virtual events will take place for Reunion?
Our virtual Reunion will include a month long celebration for you and your classmates. The month of April will be dedicated to events that will give you a variety of opportunities to engage with Salem and one another.
Will Reunion Classes ending in 0s, 1s, 5s, and 6s have the ability to attend an in-person Reunion Weekend?
Yes! Reunion Weekend 2022 will be held April 22nd-24th. As a part of Salem’s 250th celebrations, Reunion Weekend will be open to all Academy and College alumnae. For more information on the 250th celebration, please visit www.salem.edu/250.
Is Reunion 2021 free and do I need to register for events?
Reunion 2021 is free to attend and registration is not required.
How will I have my class meeting during Reunion if it’s not in-person?
In Mid-March, we will begin emailing class officers about how class meetings will be held for Reunion 2021. Classes will have two options to hold a class meeting: (1) The class will host their own virtual class meeting as determined by the class. (2) Alumnae Engagement will host the virtual class on a pre-selected date. Alumnae Engagement will host the virtual platform but rely on class officers to lead the class meeting.
Can I still make a Reunion gift? If so, when is the deadline?
Yes! We encourage you to make your Reunion gift if you haven’t done so already. The Reunion giving deadline has been extended to June 30, 2021. Make your gift today by clicking here!
