Earn Your Degree Affordably As an Adult Student

At Salem College, we are highly supportive of adult students who decide to complete their undergraduate degrees. To provide additional encouragement to those seeking better career prospects and a brighter future, the Fleer Center for Adult Education offers various forms of financial aid.

Determining Financial Aid Eligibility at Salem College

The first step to receiving financial aid is completing the FAFSA. Find this free application online at www.fafsa.gov. Should you have any questions, you can always watch these videos detailing the process for retrieving your IRS data and submitting your FAFSA or simply reach out to the Salem College Office of Financial Aid

Depending on the results of your FAFSA, if you are an adult student seeking a degree or pursuing an Accounting, Injury-Preventative Keyboard Technique, or Not-for-Profit Certificate program, you will be considered for aid in the form of grants and loans.

Scholarships and Grants for Adult Students

A Half-Price Grant is available to new degree-seeking Fleer students who complete their applications by the required deadline. This grant will pay 50 percent of tuition for part-time enrollment and is only applicable to a student’s first semester at Salem College.

The Fleer Center also awards scholarships to dozens of adult students each semester. To be considered eligible for Fleer Center scholarships, you must complete all fall semester applications by June 1 and all spring semester applications by December 15.
