At Salem College, we are highly supportive of adult students who decide to complete their undergraduate degrees. To provide additional encouragement to those seeking better career prospects and a brighter future, the Fleer Center for Adult Education offers various forms of financial aid.
The first step to receiving financial aid is completing the FAFSA. Find this free application online at www.fafsa.gov. Should you have any questions, you can always watch these videos detailing the process for retrieving your IRS data and submitting your FAFSA or simply reach out to the Salem College Office of Financial Aid.
Depending on the results of your FAFSA, if you are an adult student seeking a degree or pursuing an Accounting, Injury-Preventative Keyboard Technique, or Not-for-Profit Certificate program, you will be considered for aid in the form of grants and loans.
A Half-Price Grant is available to new degree-seeking Fleer students who complete their applications by the required deadline. This grant will pay 50 percent of tuition for part-time enrollment and is only applicable to a student’s first semester at Salem College.
The Fleer Center also awards scholarships to dozens of adult students each semester. To be considered eligible for Fleer Center scholarships, you must complete all fall semester applications by June 1 and all spring semester applications by December 15.
We encourage you to take advantage of our available resources. The Financial Aid Office at Salem College is eager to assist students with all of their financial questions and needs. Please feel free to come by our office Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm or contact us at 336-721-2808. We look forward to seeing you!
