Salem College's Graduate School

At Salem College, we welcome and value the pursuit of advanced degrees. Students may choose from multiple graduate studies in education as well as master’s degrees in health administration and music. Additionally, we offer teacher licensure and a graduate certificate in injury-preventative keyboard technique.

Programs Offered

Education

Salem’s graduate studies in education consist of a master of arts in teaching and a master’s degree in education. These two programs are designed to accommodate working students and feature small class sizes and evening classes.

Additionally, Salem offers two fully online, cohort-model master’s programs—a master of education in school counseling and a master of education in educational leadership.

To support working teachers who want to add an additional area to their teaching licensure, Salem offers several courses of study in the following specialty area:

  • Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG K-12)

Along with evening class hours, courses are offered across four terms—fall, spring, summer 1, and summer 2. Salem’s add-on licensure programs are a great choice for educators looking to enhance their teaching repertoire. Coursework for the add-on licensure programs is designed to coordinate with in-service teachers’ schedules.

Health Administration

Salem’s master of health administration is a fully online, cohort-model program. Designed for early to mid-level careerists, this two-year program features small class sizes and an intensive, innovative residency weekend at Salem College.
