Salem Academy and College Releases 2024-2025 Annual Report

Salem Academy and College is pleased to share its 2024–2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of academic distinction, enrollment growth, community support, and strong financial performance.

Salem Academy earned statewide and national recognition, ranking as the No. 1 boarding school in North Carolina and becoming one of only 10 schools nationwide to receive the prestigious FIRST School designation for excellence in science and technology. Salem College celebrated its third consecutive year of record-breaking enrollment growth, welcoming 174 new undergraduate students in fall 2024.

It was a strong financial year for Salem, with $9.9 million raised in overall fundraising. The Salem Academy class of 1975 raised over $126,000 for the Academy Hotel project, while the Salem College class of 1965 presented Salem with a gift of $5.5 million during their 2025 Reunion Weekend.

“Salem Academy and College is experiencing sustained growth and rising academic distinction thanks to the dedication of our faculty, staff, and alumnae,” Salem Academy and College Interim President Gary Daynes said. “As we advance our strategic vision for the future of this historic institution, I am confident Salem and its students will continue to thrive,” he added.
