Salem Academy and College to Host Health Leadership Forum
Winston-Salem, NC (October 6, 2025) – Salem Academy and College will host its fifth Health Leadership Forum on the historic Salem campus on Friday, October 24. The Health Leadership Forum will feature a selection of women in health leadership roles from around the nation.
The speakers at the forum will be: Mary L. Gray, PhD, Senior Principal Researcher, Microsoft; Judy Wawira Gichoya, MD, Co-Director, Healthcare AI Innovation and Translational Informatics (HITI) Lab, Emory School of Medicine; Tanya Prewitt-White, PhD, CEO & Founder, Dr. Tanya Raquel; Sherry Wang, PhD, ethical healthcare AI Researcher; and Cynthia Libert, MD, Founder & Medical Director, Caring for the Body, Center for Functional Medicine. The forum will end with a roundtable discussion, moderated by Salem College alumna Brandy Nelson, EdD, and a luncheon.

The Health Leadership Forum, then, is a manifestation of our commitment to health. And it is a demonstration of our desire that the broader community join us in understanding and advocating for the health of women,” said Dr. Gary Daynes, Interim President of Salem Academy and College.
The Health Leadership Forum is an exciting opportunity for discussion of current trends in health and networking while hearing from some of the nation’s most widely recognized experts and innovators in their fields. Nurses and licensed North Carolina psychologists can receive 2.5 contact hours from Northwest AHEC for attending.
