Salem College to Present Mathias Concert on April 15

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (APRIL 11, 2023)–Salem College will present a Mathias choral concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. The performance will take place in the Shirley Auditorium inside the Salem Academy and College Elberson Fine Arts Center and is free and open to the public.

Performers for the concert include ensembles and faculty from Salem College with special guests The New Day Singers and Liquid Fire piano duo.

“Our Mathias choral concert will be spirited, lively and uplifting. You will be nothing short of amazed to experience an evening with our the highly talented performers,” said Salem College Choral Director Patrick Schell. “I encourage the public to join Salem for this free event on April 15.”

The concert is generously funded by Ginger Mathias Bowman through an endowed fund at Salem College in memory of her parents, William H. and Helen O. Mathias for their love of Moravian music. This year’s concert will be performed in memory of Bowman’s brother, William Brian Mathias.
