Collins, Nail and Fanning Join Salem College

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (APRIL 10, 2023)—Terri Collins, Amy Nail and Katie Fanning have joined the faculty and staff at Salem College.


Before coming to Salem, Collins served as director of special programs for Stokes County Schools. At Salem, she serves as coordinator for educator preparation and graduate and professional studies. In her role, Collins will work with Salem’s leadership to strengthen student learning throughout its education program. She also will work with graduate student recruitment, enrollment and support systems.

Nail formerly served as instructional superintendent for instructional services for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. In her new role as a member of Salem’s faculty, she serves as program director of the MEd in education leadership program and is an assistant professor of education leadership.

Prior to Salem, Fanning was a practicing veterinarian and directed an office of the Humane Society. She also has teaching experience at the high school and college levels. She joined Salem’s faculty to serve as assistant professor of health sciences and coordinator of the Salem Scholars program.
