Welcome to Salem Academy and College's Public Safety Department
The public safety officers would like to extend their best wishes to all students, staff and administration.
The department of public safety's fundamental duty is to serve the Salem community and provide a safe educational and work environment. We strive to achieve this goal through proactive patrol, investigation of incidents, victim assistance and educational programs. Our current staff brings 140+ years of public safety experience to the campus of Salem College and Academy. We provide campus coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.
Nevertheless, the most important aspect of safety on campus is everyone helping us to make the community safer.
Our mission is to unite our community and our department into a proactive problem-solving team. Unified in this partnership, we accomplish our goals of enhancing the quality of life and preventing crime.
Officers are empowered to serve Salem as professional, innovative, free-thinking public safety officers who serve and lead their community through honest, ethical and compassionate acts.
