From I-40 West 
After passing the airport exit, take Exit 206 for Interstate 40 Business to Kernersville/Downtown Winston-Salem. When approaching Winston-Salem, go past Highway 52 and take the next exit at Main Street. Turn right on Main Street. Go one block and turn left at First Street. Go one block and turn left at Liberty Street. At the third stoplight, turn left onto Academy Street, which brings you into the Salem Square.

From I-40 East 
Take Interstate 40 Business to Winston-Salem (not I-40 Bypass). Exit at Old Salem/Salem College/Downtown exit. At the third stoplight, turn left on Academy Street, which brings you into the Salem Square.

From Highway 52 
Exit at Stadium Drive/Old Salem/Salem College Exit.  Go west on Stadium Drive.  Go to first stoplight (entrance to Salem Academy and Fine Arts Center).  Turn left on Salem Avenue.  Enter the traffic circle and take the first right on Old Salem Road.  At the next light turn right on Academy Street, which brings you into the Salem Square.

Fine Arts Center Area of Campus (for performances in Hanes Auditorium, Drama Workshop and Shirley Recital Hall)

From West of Winston-Salem: 
Take I-40 East to Winston-Salem; exit onto Business 40. Take the Salem College/Old Salem exit. At the end of the ramp, turn left. Travel one-half block on South Liberty Street. Turn left on to Cemetery Street; follow it until it ends at Salem Avenue and turn right. At the intersection of Salem Avenue and Stadium Drive, turn right into the Salem Fine Arts Center entrance; proceed to the bottom of the hill.

From Greensboro/East of Winston-Salem:

Take I-40 West to Winston-Salem; exit onto Business 40. Take the Old Salem/Salem College exit, which is US 52 South. Go a quarter-mile before taking the Salem College/Winston-Salem State/Stadium Drive exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Stadium Drive. At the top of the hill, go straight into the Salem Fine Arts Center entrance; proceed to the bottom of the hill.

Hanes Auditorium and Shirley Recital Hall in the Salem Fine Arts Center are wheelchair accessible.  

Other Locations on Campus

Club Dining Room 

The Club Dining Room is located on the ground floor of Corrin Refectory on the Salem College campus. Please park at the Salem Fine Arts Center. From the west (left) side of the Salem Fine Arts Center follow the red brick sidewalk through campus, past the May Dell and the Rondthaler Science Building, until you see a staircase to the left. Go down the stairs and turn right. Follow the sidewalk until you arrive at a door on the right, which leads into the Club Dining Room.

Library Assembly Room 
Gramley Library Assembly Room is on the third floor of Gramley Library, located on Church Street on Salem College's campus. It is located next to the Admissions Office, which is on the Salem Square at the corner of Church and West Streets, and across from Babcock Residence Hall.

For those with disabilities who need an elevator, the Library is wheelchair accessible. When entering the front door, please look to the left before the glass doors. There is a door where a buzzer can be pressed to alert someone to help patrons.

Bryant Hall

From the Fine Arts Center Parking Lot:

From the west (left) side of the Salem Fine Arts Center, follow the red brick sidewalk through campus, past the May Dell and the Rondthaler Science Building, until you see a staircase to the left. Go down several groups of stairs. The entrance to Bryant Hall is on your left. The Fitness Center is on the third floor, the Salem Commons and Grill are located on the second floor and the gym is located on the first floor.  

Additional Travel Options

By Air
The Piedmont Triad International Airport is located between Winston-Salem and Greensboro and is about a 25-minute drive from Salem. Car rentals are available at the airport. If you wish to be met at the airport, please provide detailed flight information to the Admissions Office.

By Train
Amtrak trains run from the north and south once per day into stations in Greensboro and High Point, both about a 30-minute drive from Winston-Salem. A shuttle brings passengers daily to the Salem Inn located one-half mile from campus.
