A Salem College education transcends the traditional model inside the classroom to merge knowledge with practice through a multidimensional learning experience.

In addition to the intellectual dimension of learning, wellbeing at Salem offers opportunities for learning in the spiritual, emotional, physical, environmental, occupational and community dimensions. This seven-phased model of wellbeing is adapted from one originally designed by the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point.

Salem implements this holistic model of wellbeing in education through programming that provides students with resources that support their academic success.
