New Student Orientation at Salem College is required for all new traditional-aged students (residential students, commuter students, first-time students, and transfer students.) For Fall 2021, special orientation programming will be provided for returning second-year students as well. Orientation for traditional students will be conducted in-person with some limited hybrid (in-person and virtual) programming.
Traditional students will receive additional information from Student Affairs in the summer regarding the orientation check-in process and programming details and times. The New Student Orientation page will be updated to reflect this information. If you have program questions in the interim, please contact the Dean of Students via email (laura.neff@salem.edu).
The Martha H. Fleer Center for Adult Education will host Fall 2021 Orientation for adult students on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Please refer to the Fleer Center Orientation Information for additional details as they develop this summer.
For graduate Education students, the College is hosting separate orientation sessions for each graduate program. The MAT session will be in-person; orientations for the online MEd programs will be virtual. Students will receive an email with more detailed information. Orientation for graduate students will take place during the following dates and times:
