Personal Accountability for Community Health Guidelines
Safely returning to campus and maintaining on-campus operations and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic requires a personal commitment by all campus members—students, faculty, staff, and guests—to abide by our community health guidelines. Campus members are expected to follow all COVID-19 health and safety standards and protocols. If members of the Salem community encounter someone who is violating these standards, they are asked to speak up with words of encouragement. Noncompliance with Salem community health guidelines may be reported to the Dean of Students Office (College students), Head of School (Academy students), or Human Resources (employees) for disciplinary review. Any incidents where Salem visitors or guests fail to follow community health guidelines should be reported to the COVID Response Team at COVID19@salem.edu and such individuals may be directed to leave campus. Salem will not tolerate discrimination, profiling, or bias in conjunction with these guidelines or any other COVID-related practices and reported incidents will be reviewed in accordance with Salem policies.
