All classes will be delivered in a virtual online format to protect the health and safety of students and faculty members. You may review the list of courses offered this spring semester, noting whether the course will be online synchronous or online asynchronous. The same information is available in Self-Service, in the course descriptions.
Definitions of Class Delivery Modes:
Online synchronous classes will be taught remotely and require attendance at set class periods.
Online asynchronous classes will be taught remotely and do not require attendance at set class periods.
Policy on Recording Classes and Intellectual Property
Under the Intellectual Property Policy of Salem College, materials “created solely for the purpose of satisfying a course requirement” are owned by the faculty member who created them. Such materials may not be reproduced or distributed without written consent of the creator and the College. In any case, no recorded class materials may be used in a manner that violates the Honor Code’s provision of respect for faculty, staff, other students, and members of the administration.
