Dr. Ron Dowdy has been a financial consultant to several institutions to help them through problems to include coming into compliance with SACSCOC Requirements and Standards successfully working with institutions in every situation from achieving initial accreditation to getting out of Warning or Probation status. He’s conducted workshops and training sessions on how institutions can successfully document and show compliance with all SACSCOC requirements and standards involving administration, finances, and facilities and has extensive experience in every phase of construction from planning a project, oversight of construction, to final inspection and acceptance completing projects on time and under budget.
Before becoming a Financial Consultant, Dr. Ron Dowdy served in the United States Air Force for twenty years as an instructor pilot; director of finance, personnel, facilities; Project Manager for major construction projects and strategic planning. He has worked with Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina, Bethune Cookman University and Beacon College in Florida, Martin Methodist College, in Tennessee as Vice President of Finance and Administration, and Troy State University in Alabama.
