Michaela is a Salem graduate from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. When she attended the Salem Fall Visit event during her senior year, she immediately fell in love with Salem’s campus and community and immediately applied. She received her Bachelor of Arts in communication in May 2017 and eagerly joined the admission staff to share Salem with potential students.
During her time as a student at Salem, Michaela participated in multiple programs and internships which prepared her for the professional world after college. During January term, Michaela worked with SoundLizzard Productions as an intern and helped plan and execute the annual Triad Music Festival. She also worked with the Leadership ExChange program in Raleigh, NC and worked towards building a business model while working with international students through the program. All of these opportunities were found through Salem’s network of alumnae, and Michaela enjoyed getting to know those who graduated before her.
In Michaela’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs. She also loves a spending time outdoors in the North Carolina mountains, especially during the fall. Coffee fuels Michaela, and she has a cup in her hand at all times. Michaela is excited to hit the road and meet all the wonderful students this fall!
