Dr. Linda Dudley is originally from Chatham, Virginia.
She came to Salem because she was looking for an academic environment that supported academic excellence and she found it at Salem.
She believes that a women's college provides a unique opportunity for the intellectual stimulation of its students.
Her primary area of research is Sleep and Dreams. Dr. Dudley and her students have investigated a number of interesting questions. Recent examples include: The Effect of Age and Anxiety Level on Dream Recall and Dream Content; The Relationship between Nightmare Frequency and Anxiety Level; Vividness in Dream Imagery and its Effect on Recall; and Dream Themes of Type A and Type B Personalities: A Test of the Continuity Hypothesis.
Her advice to students: Be a responsible student!
