Jesse MacKenzie holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Salem College. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Salem College and a Professional Certificate in Well-Coordinated, Injury-Preventive Keyboard Technique. She is a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society and received the 2010 Bright and Annie Lee Fitzgerald Sink Award for Excellence in Piano and the 2012 President’s Prize in Music from Salem College.
Since 2009, she has been a teaching assistant to Dr. Barbara Lister-Sink at many Wingsound International Intensive Technique Training Workshops. Ms. MacKenzie teaches piano to children and adults at many levels from beginner to advanced. She has a great concern for pianists who suffer pain or discomfort while playing and has worked successfully with many students to address these issues through the Lister-Sink Method©. She is a member of the Winston-Salem Piano Teachers’ Association, the North Carolina Music Teachers’ Association and the Music Teachers’ National Association.
