Chelsey Stewart is entering her first season as the assistant athletic director of compliance and internal operations at Salem College. She came from Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina where she organized fundraising events to support the organization’s mission. Stewart is a graduate of Guilford College where she was a recipient for the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation award for her volunteer service work in the community.
Her main responsibility at Salem College will be to ensure the athletics department stays compliant and she is also managing the day-to-day internal business operations of the department. Prior to the food bank, Stewart was the athletics business manager at Guilford College. There she managed budgets for 17 sports and five administrative units. She also worked for several years at the Greensboro Sports Commission where she was a part of many major sporting events and championships hosted in Guilford County.
Stewart is an Alamance County native and currently resides in Winston-Salem.
