Katrina was born and raised in the Atlanta suburbs. When she began her college search, she knew she wanted a small, close-knit environment not too removed from the convenience of the city. Katrina graduated in 2015 from Young Harris College, a private liberal arts school in the north Georgia mountains. After graduation, she found that the same passion she had for her alma mater translated to other small liberal arts schools as well. From her first cursory glance of the website, she was drawn to Salem College. Her passion for the school continues to grow as she learns more about Salem.
In her time at Young Harris, Katrina worked for the Office of Admissions as a student recruiter, calling high school students in the evenings. In her senior year, Katrina was promoted to the position of supervisor and enjoyed the opportunity to help guide younger students in their professional and educational careers. All of this inspired her to continue to pursue admissions and recruitment at a liberal arts institution. Katrina joined the Salem College team in 2017 and is excited to pursue her passion of helping students reach their full potential.
You can often find Katrina playing with her two bunnies, exploring nearby areas, sipping on a latte, or just reading a good book. She is a bit coffee-obsessed and always looks to collect new mugs from the places she visits.
