Metta Sáma, assistant professor and director of creative writing, is author of “Nocturne Trio” (YesYes Bøøks 2012) and “South of Here” (published under her legal name, Lydia Melvin, by New Issues Press in 2005). Her poems, fiction, creative non-fiction, and book reviews have been published or are forthcoming in Blackbird, bluestem, Drunken Boat, The Drunken Boat, Esque, hercricle, Jubilat, Kweli, The Owls, Pebble Lake Review, Pyrta, Reverie, Sententia, Vinyl, among others. Sáma received her MFA and MA from Western Michigan University and her PhD from SUNY-Binghamton.
