Mary Jacobsen

Dr. Mary Jacobson is originally from Minneapolis, MN, and she was drawn to Salem because it offered the unique opportunity to teach at a women's college in her area of expertise. 

She has published several works such as The Gifted Adult, 2000 (Ballantine); The Brat Stops Here, 2005 (St. Martin’s Press); and a chapter in: Gifted Minds and Morality (Ambrose and Cross, Eds.), 2009 (Springer Science).

Sandra J. Doran

Sandra J. Doran has been named the Interim President of Salem Academy and College, effective May 1, 2018.

John Hutton, Salem College professor of art history and the creator of Sister Maus, Salem’s beloved unofficial mascot, will have a front-row seat on the lawn of the White House for this year’s Easter Egg Roll.
