McHugh Sisters Flats has received a third award, a 2016 Downtown Excellence Award. This award was presented by Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines at the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership annual meeting on February 22.
Adjunct Professor of Piano Dr. Yong Im Lee Federle is a recipient of the Steinway & Sons Top Teacher Award for 2016. The Steinway Piano Galleries in Greensboro and Charlotte selected Dr.
Salem College came out the victor over Meredith College in North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities’ Ethics Bowl. This was the first time that two women’s colleges have faced each other in the finals.
