Dear Salem College Students and Incoming Students:

As we enter the closing months of the spring semester, our attention quickly turns to next fall. I have good news to share! Salem College is working on a plan to open campus—your campus—for residential learning beginning with the fall 2021 semester. We will open residence halls, classrooms, and other facilities under great caution using the guidelines provided by local, state, and national public health officials.

By the last week of March, all returning students will receive additional communications with information and instructions about fall residency. Commuter and residential students will be required to complete the housing form regardless of their residency status. In addition, Dean Richard Vinson will send further details about the registration timeline and process later today.

Although excitement is in the air at Salem College as we think about being together in person this fall, I ask that you remain vigilant and focused on remote learning—and your own health and safety—for the remainder of this semester. Salem College greatly values you as a student, and we are here to provide the help and support needed for your educational goals and your personal well-being.

I appreciate your patience and perseverance during the past year—you have much reason to be proud of your many accomplishments. Salem College’s administration, faculty, and staff look forward to seeing you on campus for the fall 2021 semester! Thank you.

Cordially,
