Salem College Introduces Master of Education in Educational Leadership

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (MAY 9, 2019)—Salem College’s Department of Teacher Education and Graduate Studies in Education will introduce a Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree in the fall of 2019. The Master of Education in Educational Leadership will prepare teachers and other licensed educators for careers as school and district leaders, and graduates will be eligible for North Carolina licensure as school principals. This two-year cohort model program will be fully available online with residency weekend and internship requirements. 

Salem College has a long tradition of educator preparation and offers teacher licensure programs at both the undergraduate and graduate (Master of Arts in Teaching) levels.  The Educational Leadership program will expand its Master of Education offerings, which include elementary education, special education, language and literacy and school counseling.
