Salem is launching a new 3+2.5 Program partnership with Elon University School of Law that will offer Salem students the opportunity to earn a law degree on an accelerated schedule.

This partnership will allow qualified Salem students to earn their undergraduate degree from Salem College and their J.D. degree from Elon’s School of Law in just five and a half years.

This accelerated pace will afford students the opportunity to save time and money while obtaining both a baccalaureate degree from Salem in a subject of their choice and a law degree from an award-winning law school that is highly recognized for its innovative curriculum that features experiential learning opportunities including full-time residencies, mentoring, and leadership training.

Students will complete their core curriculum and the coursework for their major in their three years at Salem. In their fourth year, they will matriculate to Elon Law in Greensboro, and the credits they earn in this year will complete their Salem degree as well as count towards their law degree.

“The personalized career development and experiential learning approach for which Elon University School of Law is well known will be perfect for our students, who are fully immersed in the personalized attention and hands-on learning that are distinctive of a Salem College education,” said Susan Calovini, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and Dean of the College. “We are very pleased to enter into this partnership with Elon Law and to provide this exciting new opportunity to our pre-law students.”
