Salem to Break Ground for New Student Center

October 22, 2012

Salem College will break ground in December on a new student center.  The college’s Board of Trustees recently voted to proceed with construction, slated for completion in the spring of 2014.

This new facility will showcase a vibrant campus and act as a hub for student activity. The student center will feature a café, bookstore, theatre, student lounge, meeting rooms and a student organizational workroom. Lambert Architecture + Interiors and Frank L. Blum Construction have designed the $6.8 million project that will be modern and open while reflecting Salem’s historic roots. This is the first new building erected on Salem’s campus since 1982.

“We are thrilled to have the highest enrollment in history and to be building a bright and exciting future,” says Salem College President Dr. Susan Pauly.
