Salem College hosts the North Carolina premier of the documentary, Green Fire, May 2, 7:30 p.m. in Hanes Auditorium at the Salem College Fine Arts Center. The film, sponsored by Salem College and the Moravian Task Force on Environmental Stewardship, is the first full-length documentary about conservationist Aldo Leopold.
Leopold was influential in the development of modern environmental ethics, and in the movement for wilderness conservation. He emphasized biodiversity and ecology, and was a founder of the science of wildlife management.
Admission to the film is free, and donations will be accepted.
