Each year around the world, International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8, and events occur throughout college campuses to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. Organizations, governments and women's groups around the world choose different themes each year that reflect global and local gender issues. In the year 2011, we're told women have come a long way. We certainly have. However, we still face systemic inequality and discrimination in almost every aspect of our lives. How do we identify it? How do we fight it? And most importantly, what sort of future are we looking toward?
Join us for a panel on Tuesday, March 8 at 7 pm in the Saal sponsored by the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, the International Socialist Organization, and the Student Activist Movement. All are encouraged to join in this open discussion!
