Salem College recently received a generous gift to upgrade and buy new equipment for labs and classrooms. The Cobb Foundation of Boca Raton, Florida, has awarded a grant of $50,000 to Salem College to provide equipment for the biology, chemistry and physics programs. The funds will be used to purchase microscopes, sensors, spectrometers, an incubator and a polarimeter, among other items.

The Cobb Foundation has generously supported Salem projects over the years, including the Women in Science and Mathematics Program, QUEST, science laboratory renovations, the Single Sisters House renovation and the Rhoda Ware Cobb Scholarship Fund.
