Out of the wild bush, deep in Africa, comes dazzling and unique art. The journey of this art has been arduous and inspiring, as the works have traveled over time and space. This journey began many years ago when Sam Watkins began to share ideas with other artists in Africa learning to utilize the resources in nature. From a collection of dead butterflies, Watkins arranges feathery puzzle pieces to create extraordinary, one-of-a-kind masterpieces of dazzling patterns, pictures of animals, and other scenes. These unique works are created entirely out of butterfly wings. They will not fade, and just like the wings, there are no two patterns alike.
