Center for Women Writers Presents The Emerging Writers Series: Reading
7:00pm to 9:00pm

Fulfilling its mission as an organization devoted to supporting and sustaining the writing and writing lives of women, the Center for Women Writers hosts the Emerging Writers Series to support women writers who are at the beginning of their publishing careers.

Beth Couture’s work can be found in a number of journals and anthologies, and her novella Women Born with Fur was published by Jaded Ibis Press in 2014 as part of its Blue Bustard Novellas series. She is currently enrolled in graduate school at Bryn Mawr College, and she lives in West Philadelphia. Her latest project is a novel in stories.

Erika T. Wurth’s novel, Crazy Horse’s Girlfriend, was published by Curbside Splendor. Her collection of poetry, Indian Trains, was published by The University of New Mexico’s West End Press. A writer of both fiction and poetry, she teaches creative writing at Western Illinois University and has been a guest writer at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in numerous journals, such as Boulevard, Drunken Boat, and South Dakota Review.
