Center for Women Writers Presents The Salon Series: Salem Visual Arts Student Workshop with Marcia Jones

This series, part of the Beverly Pritchard Lecture Series, examines the intersections between written work and visual work by bringing artists together with writers to discuss ideas and obsessions that lend power to the creative arts.

Marcia Jones earned an MFA in painting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Jones served as a W. E. B. DuBois Faculty Fellow at Clark Atlanta University, where she was a lecturing professor of art, and attended the Caversham Printmaking Fellowship in South Africa, where she served as a visiting artist at the University of Kwazulu Natal. In 2011 Jones was selected as the McColl Center for Visual Arts Harvey B. Gantt Winter Resident in Charlotte, North Carolina.

All Center for Women Writers events and workshops are free and open to the public. Please e-mail to participate and to obtain event information.
