Overview

In 1772, Salem College was founded on the revolutionary idea that women deserve the same education as men. Today that idea continues to serve as a successful foundation for our students pursuing bachelor of arts degrees and bachelor of science degrees with majors in a wide range of disciplines.

Salem graduates are leaders in their fields. From becoming chief operating officers at major corporations to being admitted to the graduate schools to pursue research, our alumnae are changing the world.

Today, you join their ranks.

Programs Offered

At Salem, students may choose from more than 50 academic programs that span the humanities, the sciences, business and the arts. Our offerings include majors in biochemistry, health communication and race and ethnicity studies as well as minors in nonprofit management and community leadership, design and environmental science.
