The Counseling office provides a safe, compassionate, and confidential environment for the exploration of a student's personal concerns. Throughout the year, workshops on personal growth are also offered. They may focus on such topics as stress management, alcohol and drug abuse, sex, eating disorders, and relationships. Health Center Services
The Salem College Health Center is located in the Lower Level of Clewell Residence Hall. The Health Center provides care for acute and chronic illness, information and education on women's health issues, identification of health risks, and referrals to off-site specialists.
Clinic Hours
The office is open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-Noon and 1-4 p.m.
Health Care Provider Sick Call: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-Noon and 1-4 p.m.
Physician's Clinic: Wednesday by appointment only please call (336)721-2713. Walk-ins will be triaged and seen at the discretion of the health care provider. For emergencies after hours, students should contact their RA or call Public Safety at X5555.
Charges
Routine visits to the Health Center are free of charge to all TRADITIONAL students. Limited laboratory testing and medications are also available at no cost to the student. The student IS responsible for any lab, x-rays, and prescription medications that are not provided by the Health Center.
