Baptist Student Union (BSU)

The BSU is a group of students who meet weekly to relate the Christian Gospel to each other and to those around them. The group also does community service work, is affiliated with Wake Forest Baptist Church and shares meals together on occasion. Membership in BSU is not limited to Baptists, and all interested students are encouraged to attend.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

InterVarsity is a Christian inter-denominational campus ministry welcoming all students from all backgrounds! The purpose of Salem InterVarsity is to be a Christ-centered multi-ethnic community of people, reflecting His Kingdom. We are a community seeking to know God through study of the Bible, fellowship, worship and accountability, so that we can nurture and encourage each other to love God and serve His purposes in the world. We focus on one-on-one discipleship times, developing genuine friendships through small group Bible studies, gospel choir, dance team, retreats/conferences, international student bible studies, large group worship nights with great speakers as well as try to live out our faith by reaching out to serve our college and the community around us!

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is an interdenominational Christian group that meets each week for informal Bible study and prayer. All students are encouraged to attend the meetings.

Catholic Student Association (CSA)

CSA is a small but active part of life at Salem. Although the organization and meetings are somewhat informal, they function primarily as a service and support group. Any Salem student is welcome! CSA is involved with our Lady of Mercy Church and with the campus minister at Wake Forest University.

The Circle

The Circle is a recently founded organization designed for students that belong to a nature based religion--this can extend from Wicca and New Age Spiritualism to Buddhism and Hinduism. Any religion that has an affinity with nature respect or worship is welcome, as well as those just curious about the beliefs. The club serves as a supportive forum to speak about the issues that we face in everyday life. Meetings are usually held once a month, possibly more in October or April.

Emmaus Campus Ministry

Emmaus is based out of First Presbyterian Church of Winston-Salem and welcomes students from all walks of faith. Join us Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. for worship, prayer, and a biblically based message. (Come in the "back door" of the B Building of First Presbyterian Church on 300 N. Cherry St.) Emmaus encourages spiritual growth and personal development through small group bible studies and outlets of service in the Winston-Salem community. To learn more about Emmaus click here

Episcopal Student Fellowship (ESF)

Episcopal Student Fellowship is a group on campus that brings together Episcopalians who enjoy fellowship and food. Retreats are scheduled periodically throughout the semester, including one with Wake Forest University.

Presbyterian Campus Ministry

Presbyterian Campus Ministry meets on Monday evenings in the Chaplain’s Lounge in Clewell Dormitory. We gather weekly to explore various topics such as Faith and Film, ipod Devotions, Prayer, Women in the Bible, Love, and Faith in Action. The group also gathers monthly to attend worship at various Presbyterian Churches in town and enjoy lunch afterward. In addition to fellowship, worship and study, we serve the community through organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, El Buen Pastor tutoring program, Operation Christmas Child, Crop Walk and Crisis Control. Salem College Presbyterian Campus Ministry also participates in the state wide North Carolina Presbyterian Collegiate Council retreats as well as the annual College Conference in Montreat, NC.

The Wesley Foundation

The Wesley Foundation is a Christian organization affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The organization meets weekly for theological discussions, dinner, Bible study, worship, fellowship, and retreats. A Methodist campus minister meets regularly with the group to provide counseling and assistance with program planning. Students from all denominations are welcome.
