InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
Achlaï Ernest Wallace is the InterVarsity Campus Minister at Salem College and is excited about ministry with InterVarsity here. With an academic background in Sociology, a commitment to Biblical multi-ethnic diversity and a love for the emotional and spiritual growth of college students at Salem, Achlaï says: “being at Salem puts me in a unique position of ministering to women students and helping them deal with issues of identity, self-acceptance, self-esteem as well as fundamental acceptance of others from a Biblical perspective. We have GOT to learn how to love all of God’s people, because it is God’s kingdom!” Achlaï is particularly passionate about multi-ethnic worship music, and Gospel choir. She is excited about how the Salem InterVarsity Gospel Choir may be used as a bridge, between students of a variety of cultures and backgrounds within the InterVarsity family and the larger Salem College community. One of her greater joys is working alongside her husband, Kenny Wallace, also an InterVarsity Campus Minister, at Guilford College equally passionate for multi-ethnic worship and racial reconciliation. Along with Kenny, Achlaï Ernest Wallace is a member of Mosaic Church, a new church-plant with a vision to be multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-generational in Greensboro, North Carolina where they currently reside.
