The Ambassadors is a student organization affiliated with the institutional advancement office. The members are chosen from the entire student body, with a maximum membership of 20. Members of the organization serve as hostesses for alumnae gatherings on campus throughout the year, attend alumnae meetings off campus, and help organize the annual phonathon.
Creating Hope in Cancer Survival
C.H.I.C.S. members are dedicated to educating the Salem campus community about the nature of cancer and ways to prevent it. They provide a support group for those who are dealing with cancer as well as activities and projects that provide a service to Salem College and the greater community of Winston-Salem. “Race for the Cure”, which occurs every spring semester, raises money and awareness for breast cancer and is their signature event.
Fremdendienerin is a German word meaning "one who serves strangers," is a student organization affiliated with the admissions office. The members are chosen from the entire student body. The organization is responsible for those activities concerning prospective students, including scheduling and giving campus tours, arranging student overnights, and planning and participating in admissions seminars.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity International is an organization that, in partnership with the local Forsyth County Affiliate, is committed to helping provide homes to people in need. The activities involve building "blitz" projects, blitz preparation, fundraising, and educating Salem and the surrounding communities about affordable housing. Building trips are also a possibility for all those interested.
Order of the Scorpion
The Order of the Scorpion serves the College through projects, which, though often small and intangible, are vital to the preservation of the "spirit of Salem." The membership is composed of no more than 14 juniors and seniors chosen by members of the order.
Rotaract is an international organization of service clubs for college students that fosters leadership and professional development, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes international understanding and peace.
Salem Leadership Connection (SLC)
The Salem Leadership Connection is a community outreach program that provides college access information to students in our local community who would be the first in their families to go to college or who come from underrepresented backgrounds. Salem students interested in this initiative train through an intensive process and speak with students in middle schools and high schools about how to be successful when they apply to college and once they matriculate.
Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the means by which you as students govern yourselves and to uphold Salem values such as maintaining a high level of conduct, creating a spirit of unity and developing a sense of individual responsibility and adherence to the honor tradition at Salem. Membership is open to all traditional-age students; non-traditional age students may be involved as non-voting members
Incunabula is the arts magazine of the Salem College community. It consists of creative works (arts, music, prose, poetry, and photography) submitted by Salem students, alumnae, faculty, and special guest. Incunabula always needs energetic staff members to gather submissions, type, proofread, and edit the magazine.

Sights and Insights
Sights & Insights is Salem's yearbook. It includes the major events of the year. Students are needed for photography, artwork, design layout, and to sell advertising.
Accounting Club
The Mission of Salem Accounting Club is to promote the understanding and broaden the appreciation of the accounting profession. The Club accomplishes this goal by creating leadership opportunities (club officers), organizing events for professional guest speakers to talk about careers in accounting
American Society of Interior Design
ASID offers students the opportunity to become more prepared in the field of interior design through professional interaction and insightful programs. Students attend monthly meetings for speakers, field trips, and current updates and work towards the bi-annual newsletter and fund-raisers.

Club Sports Philosophy: Students interested in club sports, please see the Club Sports Handbook available through the Department of Athletics and Physical Education. A student may also make an appointment with the director of athletics to discuss club sport options for a particular year
Off Campus Association
The Off Campus Association (OCA) is an organization for traditional age off campus students. The purpose of this organization is to create an awareness of the activities and opportunities available to students who live off campus and to encourage their participation in the life of the College.
Open Up
Open Up is the gay/straight alliance at Salem College. Its purpose is to educate members of the Salem community on the topic of sexuality and its effects on people in our everyday society. Open Up is a forum for the exchange of ideas, views, perceptions and opinions. It provides a safe space for students to share these feelings and experiences without fear of harassment or ridicule. All faculty, staff and students are invited to be a part of Open Up.
The Johann Comenius Chapter of the Student National Education Association is an organization for students who are planning to pursue education as a career. Programs include discussions and speakers on special topics of interest to educators such as the career ladder and interviewing.
Salem Art Society
The Salem Art Society is a student organization dedicated to supporting student imagination and creativity, as well as promoting student artists. This is achieved through student art shows and educational opportunities within the arts. Theclub aim is to be exceptionally inclusive by attempting to schedule meetings and events to be convenient for Fleer and non-residential students.
Salem Pre-Law Society
The Salem Pre-Law Society is a student led organization that promotes interest in Pre-Law Society events and fosters enlightenment in different areas of the law practice. Our events have incorporated Elon, Appalachian and Wake Forest University law school admission information.
Salem Society of Ramblers
The SSR is Salem's hiking and outdoor activity organization. We function as a network to connect students with other students who like the outdoors as well as provide recreation venues for the novice to advanced hiker.
InterVarsity Gospel Choir
The Gospel Choir is an independent, student-directed, small choral group, which performs various kinds of music for civic groups, volunteer organizations in the Winston-Salem area, campus events, and two annual concerts. Archways vacancies are filled at fall auditions in which musical ability, vocal blend, stage presence, and commitment are emphasized.
The Pierrette Players
The Pierrette Players is the Salem College drama group, a club organized for the purpose of developing an appreciation for drama, studying and presenting plays, and teaching the essentials of acting and production techniques. Two major productions are given each year.
Salem Chamber Choir and Jazz Voices
Salem Chorale is a vocal group whose purpose is to foster and stimulate interest in the vocal arts. Programs include entertainment for special events on campus such as the Christmas Candle Service and for Winston-Salem civic organizations and conventions.
Salem College Dance Company
Salem's modern dance society, seeks to develop an appreciation of modern dance, to develop skills and creative ability, and to plan, choreograph, and present concerts. New members are selected through auditions each fall.

Established in 2009, the Ghost Ryders' mission is to strengthen and sustain Salem sisterhood through the power of step. By coming together as sisters, creating something new, and thanking God for our strength, we promote the pillars of Salem, its history and its cultural diversity
Environment Concerns Organization
ECO is an organization to inform the Salem community about environmental issues and to inspire positive change through the dedication to projects that protect the environment and increase sustainability, including a campus-wide recycling program. Any Salem College student who is concerned about our environment may join.
Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance
The Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance (FMLA) is a non-sectarian, non-partisan organization affiliated with the Feminist Majority Foundation. The purpose of the FMLA is to study and take action on national, state, local and campus feminist issues and concerns; to educate the College community about feminist issues and to create an open and candid space for feminist dialog and experience.

The Salem College Young Americans for Liberty is an organization which supports the ideas of economic freedom to provide for one's life, social freedom to choose how to lead one's life, and intellectual and academic freedom to enrich one’s life.

SCT Now is a service organization dedicated to raising awareness about the injustice of child trafficking globally and domestically in the United States.Students take action through community education, fundraising and event coordinating.
Toms Campus Club
TCC is a student organization at Salem that is dedicated to ensuring the well being of children in third-world countries. They help provide shoes for children in need to prevent health risks that they are able to avoid by simply wearing a pair of shoes.
