First year: A sense of place

Second year: A passion for learning

Choose freely! Get involved with things you are passionate about. Engage with the local community in meaningful service. Highlights include:

  • Service learning course including 30 hours of hands-on volunteer work
  • Course for emerging leaders

Third year: A purpose for work

Discover the scope of your ability. Get real world work experience in a professional internship. Travel the globe for a semester or the summer. Grow your network. Highlights include:

Fourth year: Changing tomorrow

After three years of academic inquiry, leadership development and service to the community, you will come together with Salem seniors across academic disciplines to address a current world issue. Highlights Include:

  • Signature Capstone Course
  • Leadership and transition-related workshops
  • Graduate school application advising
  • Résumé writing and interview skills workshops


Inclement Weather

Due to inclement weather, all classes have been canceled and all offices will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2016.

Scholarship Weekend events scheduled for Monday, February 15, will take place in the Single Sisters House.
